My man Skew also known as Freddy Mack pass away last friday. He was and still one of the coolest writer of Paris I ever met. I learn to know him around 2003 at the time I live in the french capital. Freddy was a funny guy, with a continuous smile on his face. Always ready to joke and treat anyone that come into the discussion.
Freddy was passionate for graffiti and Internet and lived for his two passions. He was at all writers corner, vernissages, events and sunday hall of fame sessions. Like an encyclopedia he knew all the names and all the styles from NYC to Berlin or Tokyo. Very connected with the New-York pioneers, he could tell you all night about how it was in the early 80′s and how it is today. Freddy teach me a lot about style and the writing history.
He was one of the Astrobastard forum administrator back in 2000′s and the CEO of Whatyouwrite.com since 15 years and more. From the beginning of Lectrics around 2007, we are two contributors, Freddy and I. He posted around 1000 posts here. He still 50% of Lectrics!
He push me to continue Lectrics at a time I wanted to stop. I remember our calls, when we compared the audience of our respective websites. Haha! But it wasn’t a competition. Freddy was into quality and not quantity. Generous, he just like to share his love for graffiti.
Today my thoughts go to his mother and his many friends.
You will stay forever in my heart and memorie.
We see us in heaven Freddy!
